The Lambeg Project

The Base provides 11 to 21 year olds from the area with activities and mentoring in a safe, social setting where they can develop constructive friendships in the company of responsible role models. They learn about the consequences of drug misuse and anti-social behavior, and find support and advice if they are in difficulty, depressed, abused or suicidal, sometimes because of family breakdown or community threats. We aim to provide them with opportunities to learn about other cultures and differences, widening their horizons and encouraging respect for everyone, including themselves. We think it important for them to join together in supervised projects, events and activities, informally learning about things of value to them, and supporting their development as caring individuals.
