Project Details

Community Integration Project

To deliver a Community Integration project to increase the confidence, capacity, knowledge and skills of local people. The project will target communities from disadvantaged areas, marginalised groups and minority ethnic groups. Participants will engage in reconciliation, anti-sectarian and anti-racism work. The project will engage with at least 50 groups and will deliver skills building along with practical initiatives through delivery of a Resource Allocation project. The project will involve work at local council level culminating in more collaboration and sharing of experiences at a cross council level and at a cross border level. Single identity work will result in cross community and engagement work. Minority ethnic focused work should result in initiatives that engage with the wider community. The Community Integration project will offer an OCN level 2 Accreditation to participants and a Resource allocation of £2,000 to each of the 50 groups to complete their Resource Allocation project. The project will also produce a DVD which captures learning along the way and records progress.
