Our Town, Our Time

Our Town, Our Time is an educational, arts based youth project which is broken down as follows: A series of four drama based discussion workshops for ten young people from various cultural and religious backgrounds, which will challenge attitudes on sectarianism, racism and prejudice in four wards across the Dungannon and South Tyrone Borough Council area; An intensive ‘team building’ residential discussion session with the participants at a neutral venue e.g. Parkanaur College; A documentary style film of the process, culminating in a 15 minute, broadcast standard DVD which may be shown to schools, youth groups and decision makers. As well as recording clips from the workshops, the DVD will portray life and all its challenges through the eyes of the group. Their views on a range of subject matters will be contrasted against the views of key decision makers such as MLAs, Councillors, teachers etc.
