Building Bridges - Peace by Piece

This project involves primarily the integration of a local society divided by 30 years of troubles in Northern Ireland on the basis of religious, political and other sociocultural differences. Our initiative will seek to build upon existing relationship networks while fostering and encouraging new such relationships in an all-inclusive, safe and friendly environment. The key aim of our project is that through the medium of drama, music and creative writing to help participants express their views and opinions and through the process of conflict management workshops reconcile these attitudes in order to provide for a sustainable future in our locality. The project will culminate in April 2011 with a large scale production, purposely written and produced by the group based upon the theme After Terrorism and Adversity. The project will provide benefit to individuals living in the following areas, Pettigo-Tullyhommon, Kesh, Ederney, Irvinestown, Enniskillen, Derrygonnelly, Belcoo, Garrison, Belleek, Cashel, Rossinver, Kiltyclogher and Ballyshannon, however the project is not confined only to these areas and individuals from other localities are more than welcome to become involved if they so wish.
