Story Telling Project

We have secured £165,521 from the IFI to develop a peacebuilding storytelling project. We need match funding of £8,800 to make the project happen. We will train 72 people in storytelling and creative writing. Thirty of these people will become community facilitators, who will work with communities to explore stories and experience of communities living in a divided and segregated, racist society. They will encourage communities to move out of the past, to understand differences, and move towards a common vision for a better future. We will facilitate 10 communities to tell their stories. We will work throughout the cluster area and in cross border areas. These stories will be displayed, published or exhibited. Materials developed during the training will be available for use after the project finishes. Communities will have physical products at the end of their experiences and will have a vision for a better future.
