Pomeroy Integration Project

This project will help promote Peace and Reconciliation in the Pomeroy area through targeting the local playschool and rebranding it to attract more Protestants in order to redress the balance of Protestant and Catholic children in attendance. This will happen with the aid of the Early Year Media Initiative for Children Respecting Differences training programme in which our staff will participate. This programme has been specifically designed for children living in divided societies and aims to address issues of sectarianism and difference in young children. This programme will be woven across our three services offered to the local community. Pomeroy will become a more integrated area as negative perceptions of difference are targeted in a neutral environment and across a range of audiences.
