Sharp Focus Workshop Programme

The Sharp Focus workshop programme, is a cross border and cross community mixed media drama programme involving two youth groups from marginalised areas, one in Drogheda, County Louth and one on the Shankill Road, Belfast. Between September 2009 and March 2010, both groups will participate in a programme of workshops through drama and film. The workshops will specifically address issues around the theme of reconciliation and integration and will actively explore attitudes towards racism and sectarianism by challenging the participant’s perceptions of the other group across the Border. Both groups will come together with their facilitators and youth leaders for two workshop residentials, one at the beginning and end of the workshop programme and will also collectively work through these issues. At the end residential each group will perform or present a short presentation based on the themes to the other group.
