Project Details

Actions Speak Louder Than Words

Our project aims to build upon the positive relationship which has already developed between two groups of people from both Nationalist and Unionist communities, through the medium of psychodrama and teambuilding. We aim to run a therapeutic support group from April 2010 to December 2010, and to run one weekend team-building residential at the onset of the project. The purpose of the therapeutic support group and the team building residential is to: bring together two groups from different communities, both male and female; enable participants to explore identified issues around the theme of Identity and Culture, (within a group setting and facilitated by a qualified Psychodrama Psychotherapist), and to build on self-esteem, confidence, self-empowerment and allow participants to experience shared support and learning, in order to gain insight and create change.
