Project Details

Life Beyond Prejudice

The project’s main focus is on cross community training and dialogue on issues surrounding sectarianism and racism. The need for this project was identified through two previous pilot schemes carried out in conjunction with Belfast City Council - A Senior Citizen’s Role in Peace-Building and Race Relations Training for Community Activists OCN Level 2 in North Belfast. This project will draw participants from a variety of backgrounds to include the church, senior citizens, community leaders and two youth groups. They will reflect the diversity of opinion and makeup of North Belfast. In total we aim to work with eight groups over a period of two years. The project activities will take the form of workshops and seminars culminating in a conference by the end of year two.
