Communities in Focus

The project is a cross-community, cross-border relationship building project. The project will use the medium of photography to highlight the diversity within our communities but also the similarities that we all share. By involving groups that may feel excluded for various reasons we will be increasing their capacity to build new relationships and also increasing their personal sense of belonging within their own community. The groups will share their stories from their communities through visual images and storyboards to explore their own communities and discover more about where they live and the "others" community. This project will have a wider impact than just the groups involved, as they will showcase their work within their local communities. There will also be a web site for all participants to actively contribute to and this will not only provide a space to showcase the project but will also act as a tool for the participants to continue their contact with the groups they have been working with.
