Ensuring Our Capabity to Achieve Change

The Victims and Survivors Trust core aim is to work at a local level to ensure victims and survivors of West Belfast and the surrounding area are given every opportunity to reintegrate back into society. VAST continually monitor and evaluate our skills and expertise, and our ability to meet our users’ needs. The organisation had recently identified, through this evaluation, the need for capacity building and service specific training, to effectively deliver for our users. Our project will see the staff, committee and volunteers of VAST participate in a variety of capacity building, good relations specific and service delivery training including mediation and conflict resolution training. Through participation in this training we will increase our capacity to meet the needs of those victims and survivors we work with, and we would hope to increase our ability to work across all inter and intra community divides.
