East Belfast Mission and Short Strand Community Forum Peace III Project

East Belfast Mission will work with Short Strand Partnerhip to deliver a number of programmes that aim to build positive relations at a local level. The proposed project involves a number of key programme elements that dovetail into the objectives of Transforming Contested Space and Developing Shared Cultural space at the interface area of the Lower Newtownards Road and The Short Strand. The programme elements will enable those living on either side of the interface to engage in dialogue, activites and discussion with one another and try to establish a greater understand of both self and other, and how, as residents living on either side of an interface, they might engage in meaningful and sustainable relationships.
