Darver Activity Centre - Promoting Positive Relations Between Local and New Communities

The objective of this project is to develop strong relationships with different communities within the county. There are three main elements within this programme, culture, social and economic streams. It is felt that these streams will contribute to a stronger and closer community and learning will occure from each person directly involved in this project. The project will involve the the establishment of a resource centre and language centre within the Darver GAA complex. In conjunction with this normal GAA Summer camps integrations will run bringing the host community in Louth into contact with new communities. It is also intended within this project to establish cross border, cross community workshops to develop new educational concepts for disadvantaged areas and to introduce a Home Economics programme focusing on developing economic resilience embracing both national and non national needs.
