Strength Through Unity

Strength through unity - cross community older peoples network development programme aims to further develop, support and sustain localised networks of older people operating throughout County Donegal on a cross community basis. These networks will identify the salient issues affecting older people in the local areas. It will bring together older people in cross community nature, utilsing creative methods to allow for sharing and expression of experiences of the conflict which has blighted the lives of so many of older people both directly and indirectly down through the years. The project will involve further developing the capacity of older people in different regions of Donegal, and through the use of creative engagement and reflective analysis, build on the social capital of the community. This will develop the collective voice and will enhance the lives of older people in Donegal.
