Gaoth an Cheoil

We hope to develop even stronger links with Broughshane regarding a joint youth project, incorporating musical, artistic, linguistic and cultural activities. This project will provide a greater understanding and appreciation of each others culture and traditions. Thus building stronger bonds of peace and reconciliation between our communities through various activities, in particular exploring and developing music talents. This project would involve acquiring state of the art musical recording equipment, setting up a programme of events and workshops between both our communities, allowing our young people to fully immerse themselves in each others musical heritage, thus discovering songs, music and traditions which play a vital part in both our communities. Our programme will also incorporate a number of exhange residentail visits which would entail, bringing young people and musicians from Broughshane to Donegal and vice versa with the aim of producing and performing musical concerts and ultimately the compilation of a CD.
