Flanders Field

This project will work with the minority Protestant community to help them build their confidence through increasing their awareness of the history and culture surrounding their community whilst also strengthening cross border social infrastructure by twining with a group of a similar nature in a neighbouring County In Northern Ireland. The main action of this project will be to visit the battle sites of the Somme and remember those who lost lives from both sides of the community; this will give the groups from both sides of the border the opportunity for a frank and open discussion on the shared history.
