Cross Border Family Support Peace and Reconciliation Project

This is a cross border family support project that will promote peace and reconciliation. The project will involve parents and their children from different political and religious backgrounds. The work will therefore benefit both adults and children, while creating an extended cross-border community. The work will occur through a series of residential weekends, facilitating families to interact on a deeper level. The families will engage in a programme called RAPP which is a group work methodology including interactive exercises, discussion, team building activities, and sharing of personal history through storytelling. RAPP, which stands for The Reconciliation and Peace Peer Initiative, is a successful model developed in 1995 by the YMCA, RAPP and its follow on "Living with Diversity" programme provide stability and sustainability to this project.
