To employ a youth worker on a part-time basis to further develo the Raphoe Inter Church youth forum established in June 2006 by Raphoe Youth and Community Project (now Raphoe Family Resource Centre) and to develop a youth cafe. the Forum, with representation from the church of Ireland, Catholic Church and the presbyterian Church sought to create a safe space where young people could explore different religions, faiths and cultures as well as finding out more about their own religion in a supported environment. the group also visited the Multi-cultural Resource Centre in Belfast and met with young women from ghana, Portugal, Russia and Romanis. this application will allow for the exploration/discussion of sectarianism and racism through the Forum and through social interaction in the youth cafe.
