Cross Border Women's Collective

Around twenty five women will take part in Video Recording, Public Speaking and Interview Techniques. The DVD will be recorded and edited by the women, the presentations will be given by the women and the launch will be organised by the women. The CBWC feel that relating their journey would be of help to others and that a DVD with interviews with the women would be an added assistance in their presentations to groups. The story of where they were during the conflict in NI, what they got from the CBWC, how their thinking has changed, what they feel is needed now and who can change things. This makes powerful telling. We see a lot of men telling their stories but very few women, even though women had a very big presence holding things together during the conflict and afterwards in Community Development. This could be used to develop positive relations between different communities.
