Clonmany and Ardstraw Women Together Towards Reconciliation and Friendship

The project will bring together two groups of women to undertake a craft project which will produce an end product dedicated to peace, reconciliation and friendship. The women, one group from Clonmany and the other from Ardstraw, will meet over the period of one year to plan, develop and produce two friendship wall hangings with theme of peace and reconciliation as its base. The friendship hangings will be offered to two public offices for display, one in Strabane and the other in Inishowen. A facilitator will be employed to help develop the theme, discuss differences and identify commonalities. Tutors will be employed to develop the various skills needed to produce the final product.
