Waiting...to be Irish

Waiting . . . to be Irish is a unique Donegal County Council Issue Based Cultural Diversity Drama, focusing on the plight of new communities coming to reside in ireland. It is unique because it is the first Donegal based production using an issue based drama model within Donega lCounty Council Cultural Services. The play's uniqueness lies in the fact that it was shaped and devised by two African actors working with a Donegal Director/Facilitator and supported by tje Asylum Seekers Support Worker at the Donegal Failte Project and managed by Community Arts and Arts Education Officer South and South West Donegal. The short drama of 30 mins, is economically packaged and staged as a creative education tool, to extend the learning of the play's themes. An intimate post production forum for Q and As - related to the play's themes and delivery is offered to the audience.
